The form book suggests that home advantage is unlikely to be much of a help in this Saturday's fixtures, with four of the top five sides away to opponents from the lower half of the Grade 1 table.

The exception is at the Allan Park, where Cults First Eleven are technically at home to their second eleven in a game from which both sides would really like to take maximum points for differing reasons.  However the gap is too close at either the top or the bottom of the league for anyone to suspect that this match will result in a cosy agreement - any more than the previous games played by the two teams this season, despite the predictions of some.

An oral history project has been launched by Aberdeen City Council as one of the many events being organised to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Duthie Park on Sunday, 14 September, 2008.

The council’s oral history team wants to hear from people who would like to share their memories of the Duthie Park, which will be recorded and used as part of an exhibition at the park later in the year.

The City Council’s oral history officer, Arlene Forman said: "All memories are important and these might come from people who have used the park for leisure purposes or from people who worked there. We would love to hear from as many people as possible."
