The Grades Select's hopes of regaining the Strathmore Union's Three Counties Cup were once again dashed at the final hurdle as they were comfortably defeated by Forthill in Tuesday night's re-arranged final, played at Arbroath.

Of the Grades batsmen only Fazal Awan contributed an innings of any substance as the Select were dismissed for 109, a total which Forthill easily overhauled due to a 37-ball half-century from W. Hayward.  For the Select Scott White of Ellon took the only Forthill wicket to fall.

At Arbroath.
