Week 3 of the new Grades cricket season sees all four of the leading sides in Grade 1 having home advantage.
Bon Accord take on their co-tenants, Mannofield, at the Links; while Cults will be fancied to have the better of promoted St Ronald at the Allan Park; and Kintore have a home game against a Banchory side who have lost some key players over the winter. Games between Ellon & Inverurie and Stonehaven & Gordonians complete the day’s programme in the top division.
In Grade 2 one of the matches of the day looks to be that at Harlaw between Queens Cross and 2nd Cults, while Caledonian take on Artisans at the Duthie Park; and Grammar FPs welcome promoted 2nd Kintore to Rubislaw.
Crescent play Anchorians in a Grade 3 city derby at Sheddocksley, while elsewhere Kemnay take on 2nd Gordonians and Academy travel to 2nd Stonehaven in games featuring sides which last year were two divisions apart. Huntly Highlanders entertain 2nd Grammar, and Portcullis play 2nd Mannofield in Grade 4.
The Grade Select’s first round Three Counties Cup game versus Stonetwood-Dyce has been provisionally scheduled for Monday May 18th at the Links with the following Monday as the reserve date if weather intervenes.
