CINNAMON GRADES (Umpires sponsored by Shahbaaz Tandoori)
Following last weeks sunshine, this week the rain arrived allowing only 6 Grade games to be completed.
In
Grade 1 all games were eventually abandoned and therefore declared void as were some notable performances by A Keith (103no), A Milroy (81), J Barratt (109no) and P Potter (96no).
With the only game completed in
Grade 2 Fraserburgh managed to hold off Methlick for a draw. Unfortunately, due to the poor weather condition, H. Saraswat’s 175no of Caledonian is also declared void.
In
Grade 3 2nd Ellon crushed Turriff with the pick of the bowlers B Lang (5-33). 2nd Gordonians recorded their 1st win of the season against Kemnay with Stalwart C Pettitt leading with a half century supported by the bowling of J Jones (4-27), whilst 2nd Stonehaven, lead by the bowling of N King (5-16), continue their winning run by easily disposing of Academy in a low scoring game.
In
Grade 4 Portcullis continue on their 100% 3 wins out of 3 games record, by easily disposing of 2nd Mannofield, whilst the only other fixture completed in Grade 4 of Stoneywood-Dyce’s encounter with 2nd Queens Cross resulted in a very low scoring mauling of Stoneywood-Dyce lead by the bowling of M Worsley (6-6)
