Rain was the main winner in the Grades at the weekend, as for the most part only those teams who bowled first and dismissed their opponent cheaply were able to force a definite result as the clouds gathered.
In Grade 1 just the one game was completed as Stonehaven dismissed Inverurie for just 38; while Queens Cross lost out on perhaps their best chance of a first victory this season when rain intervened at Harlaw. Rain also brought a premature end to the game of the day between Ellon and Bon Accord with the match tantalisingly balanced following an innings of 83 for the Gordon Park side from Jonathan Barrett.
