It seems there has been some confusion about number of overs in a game since the draw was abolished.

In more than one game this season the question has been asked whether the team batting first can bat until 46 overs or if they are bowled out does the other team get the extra overs.

"In all grades matches will be played on a 45 over a side, win/lose format."

The competition rules are pretty clear. 45 overs maximum.

In the event of a delayed start or the threat of poor weather the captains can agree to reduce the game to 40, 35, or 30 overs a side.

Perhaps this could be sent out to all clubs as a reminder.
