They have also not told us how much these new pitches will cost to use. Last time we looked at using Harlaw it was prohibitively expensive for us. Maybe the large clubs would be able to bear the cost, but the small teams with no facilities may well struggle to make ends meet if the pitch fees rise significantly. _________________ +++

Coming down the hill fae Altens today i spotted what looked like fencing around the squares and artificial.
A good sign that cricket will be back in Duthie Park once works are over?
Have the council said anything about future cricket in DP? |

I had a wander round last night - the squares (and artificial track) have indeed been fenced off - presumably for protection (hopefully good news) - but it does rule out the chance to practice there too (not so good). |

The pitches arent ready yet, but will be ready for games on the 5th May so our game at harlaw on sat is off and will be played later on in the season. I think 2nd knightriders have switched their game to Dunecht, and also sure the grade 1 game between mannofield and crathie is affected too. _________________ Nothing on earth can stop the man with the right mental attitude from reaching his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” |

| How are the pitches at Sheddocksley looking? Will they be ready for the start of the season (when it stops raining, some time in July)? |

| come on Roy - you've seen the Shed - it's unfit by default - it's now just about whether or not people will be asked to squelch around on it!! |

| If the Grades bosses are meeting with ACC I hope they will remind them there are teams that still want to return to DP next season (and this one of they ever take the fencing down from the artificial). I wouldn't want them suffering from the belief that, nice as they are, we all want to play are matches on artificials... |

Was it not just taken down for the events that were in the park?
I've a feeling it's back up now. |
