After going e*** ower t*t last Sunday v Grammar I was lying in hospital yesterday, contemplating how sair rupturing your quad from your kneecap cap is! how lang it takes to recover! how old I am etc. Decided to call it a day, 30 odd yrs can't say it has all been good, but at least 100% of the time it has! Away to consider something broon as a hobby, Newcastle Broon. See yooze all around, I'm awa to hug a tree x. Missing you already

Trying to think who this is??!!! Who at SDCC has been playing for 30odd years and still playing, well until last week! There can't be that many folk in this category.

Sounds a really nasty injury! Hope the recovery is a speedy one and not too painful in the process! Enjoy 'retirement' and the new hobby! All the best!

Must be Barron!!

I've decided to pack it in too. Can't run, can't throw, can't bowl, can't bat, can't be ahsed. This has proved to be somewhat restrictive in my chosen sport....

Hi Folks,

I'm assuming this is Colin Moir but i could be wrong?

If it is i was playing for Ellon when he scored his first Grades 100 and for once my bowling figures werent responsible for getting someone to a landmark!

How about you two don the white jackets and give Ken and Ian a hand umpiring some games?

Could be Leasky Senior??

He's still been playing occasionally and helping lead the promising youngsters.

Chris could indeed be right!
As for Grizzly, you promised you'd retire when we were in Bangor, mine that een?
Umpiring, can you imagine how cantankerous I'd be if I knew the rules, instead of thinking I knew . But you never know

Bangor? Aah, memories. Alan H being taken to a [deleted] bar and actual Armoured cars roving the streets. Fun days.

I'd like to do some umpiring but can't drive which is limiting, I'm afraid, but I will give it some thought....

I'm an affa cheat tho'

Andy,

Just think how much fun you could have turning down Malik's LBW appeals on a Saturday!

I'm sure with you both playing cricket for as long as you have you'd have a fair idea about the rules and as members of the slow bowlers union hopefully you'll take pity on me anytime a batsman gets a pad on one as he really should walk if he misses it with the bat.

We'll hopefully see you both wearing a white jacket sometime soon once you overcome your injury in Colin's case and bone idleness in Andy's.

so why did you wait so long to make this decision Wink get umpiring Andy, guarantee you'd get rid of the draw in the matches you umpire at least!!
