This season's Grade competitions look set to go into overtime, as heavy overnight rain washed some fixtures for the second time this summer, with the Association Rules requiring the postponed fixtures requiring to be replayed a week on Sunday.
Among the games to be abandoned due to waterlogged pitches was the top of the table clash between league leaders Bon Accord and Kintore; but Cults were able to play, and gained ample revenge for their earlier defeat by Stonehaven, as they ran up 300 from 37 overs, Skipper Patel finishing on 176 not out.
Abandonments in the lower half of the table left the relegation position much as before, though Banchory improved their position by beating already-relegated St Ronald on the all-weather wicket at King's College.
In Grade 2 Mannofield, Academy and Artisans all missed on action for the day; but 2nd Cults hoisted themselves up the table with a convincing win over Crescent, while Anchorians look to have preserved their Grade 2 status following defeat of Stoneywood-Dyce.
Grade 3 saw the day's most complete programme, with Methlick and Caledonian both winning to consolidate their hold on the promotion spot, while Portcullis's chances again received a knock back as they went down to a ten-wicket defeat by 2nd Queens Cross at Harlaw.
2nd Stonehaven beat 2nd St Ronald in the only game of the day to be completed in Grade 4.
