Club Conference - #MoreThanCricket
How cricket and cricket clubs can grow in Scotland
A free* one-day event focusing on how Scotland's cricket clubs can play a bigger role in people's lives and become hubs for their communities
Saturday 11th March 2017, Royal Court Hotel, University of Stirling
If cricket and our clubs are to grow they have to become much more than places where people 'just play their cricket' and compete in a league. They have to play a bigger part in the lives of local people and communities and become fun and social destinations.
All sports are increasingly being asked to deliver ‘social good’ and real community benefits. So, the more cricket can show that it`s not just played by some ‘diehards’ but embraces new communities, the more players, partners and funding we could attract.
This event is all about how together we can develop #MoreThanCricket
You will be able to listen to presenters from within and outside cricket with ideas and case-studies that will motivate your club
Topics will include:
• Turning around a struggling cricket club
• How to transform your club into a community sports enterprise
• How to attract more girls to play cricket at your club
• How to improve the way you approach funders
• Really get into digital marketing and social media
• Making it really happen at your club
• What will the cricket club look like in 10 years?
The event runs from 9.30am to 4pm and we hope you will bring along colleagues and fellow club members to get the maximum benefit.
*The event is free to attend for representatives from cricket clubs. For others, the delegate fee is £45.00, which includes documentation, refreshments and lunch.
To reserve a place(s) just send an email to Svend Elkjaer at Sports Marketing Network email@example.com indicating how many people you want to send.
