Grades Preview for w/e 20th-21st May 2017

Cults will be bidding to be the first team in Grade 1 to lower the colours of league leaders Bon Accord this season when the two clash at Allan Park, while underlining its own title credentials.

''It's great to be back at our own pitch after the floods, and what better way to celebrate than beating the champions,'' said Aqeel Ajazi the Cults captain who hit a sparkling 61 last weekend in the demolishment of Ellon at the Gordon Park where they racked up 299, the highest score of the day. The visitors have its own run machine in Fazal Awan who has already scored two sumptuous centuries, and will be the wicket the home bowlers covet most.

Second placed AGSFPs entertain Ellon Gordon who will need to vastly improve after three successive defeats in the league, not to mention losing its hold on the Aberdeenshire Cup last weekend when they crashed out in the preliminary round to ACE Mannofield. ''The cup exit hurt, but we'll now concentrate on improving our league position,'' said Ellon Gordon captain Ben Webb, but will find unbeaten AGSFPs in no mood to be generous in pursuit of bettering last season's runners up slot.

Inverurie Don Valley travel to the Links seeking to build on its solid start to life in the top flight. Crescent have won only one of its three starts, but with home advantage will be hard to beat on the firm links pitch.

Knight Riders host a middle of the table clash with Academy at Groats Road, and with both sides keen not to lose ground on the three leaders, it makes for a close encounter, which is also true of the Kemnay-Kintore versus ACE Mannofield game at Bogbeth Park.

In Grade 2 leaders Stoneywood-Dyce meet Arrowdawn Gordonians, firing on all cylinders and boosted by good all round performances by all its teams in the game.

There is an equally intriguing clash at Fraserburgh where 2nd Knight Riders are the visitors. In the same division Siyapa meet an out of form Methlick at Sheddocksley, while Banchory will also be looking for a change of fortunes at the Burnett Park where they meet Grampian.

In Grade 3 the pick of the games is at Sheddocksley leaders 2nd AGSFPs meet 2nd Grampian. Crathie meet Portcullis and Stonehaven Thistle are at home to Aberdeen Super Kings.

In Grade 4 there are home games for 2nd Methlick, 3rd AGSFPs and Turriff who meet 2nd Stonehaven, 2nd Kemnay-Kintore and 2nd Cults.
