PREVIEW of 27TH/28TH JULY

With the weather forecast for Saturday improving fast hopes of play has drastically increased.  At Countesswells Gordonians welcome AGSFPs however they have to do without the services of Indy Pandit for this one.  AGSFPs will be delighted that Callum Herd is back to full fitness after shaking off a wrist injury.  Bon Accord and Ellon meet at the Links with Ellon desperately in need of some points in what is typically a low scoring ground.  Charles Wolrige-Gordon will be hoping to be back to his run scoring best in this one.  Inverurie vs Knightriders should be a classic on paper however the home side have to do without the services of Fraser Lawrance as he's attending a wedding of Fraserburgh legend and all round good guy Liam Bowie.  Mannofield and Cults face off at Hawlaw with Cults hoping to pickup another win in their race to beat the drop.  Ravi Mahajan was in form with the bat in their last game and he'll be hoping to continue where he left off.  Crescent are the visitors to Peoples Park to play Stoneywood Dyce and still have to make do without holidaying skipper Nathan Thangaraj.  Stoneywood Dyce's priorities might be changing with the Grades 11 safe and the SPCU first division side aiming for promotion to the Championship.

The top teams in Grade 2 meet at Sheddocksley on Saturday when Grampian and Siyapa come face to face.  A win for Siyapa surely makes it impossible for the chasing pack to catch them.  Banchory make the trip to Lairds where 2 slow bowling veterans Tim Wilkinson and Colin Addison will be pitting their wits against each other.  Stonehaven host Super Kings and the Super Kings batsmen will have to be at the top of their game when Clive Hinchliffe has the ball in hand.

In Grade 3 2nd Gordonians host Dunecht with both teams looking for some much needed points.  Crathie will be hoping to keep up the pressure on Portcullis at the top of the league when they welcome 2nd Grampian.  Portcullis entertain 2nd Methlick at Duthie Park knowing anything less than a win will open the door to Crathie.

On Sunday Inverurie and Bon Accord meet in the first of the Aberdeenshire Cup Semi Finals while Cults and Gordonians are at Allan Park in the 2nd semi final.  Everyone will be trying their best to take their team to the final at Mannofield on the 25th of August.
