Sunday sees Siyapa travel to Fraserburgh needing a win to secure the Grade 2 title. Fraserburgh have missed the all round talents of Fraser Lawrance this season, and they have lacked runs, with only one half century appearing in their scorebook. The success of Siyapa this year has been built around the bowling of Muhammad Shahid. In 2018 he took 17 wickets at an average of 24.35, and so far, despite bowling fewer overs, he has 33 wickets at an average of 5.97 for 2019. Fingers crossed that the weather isn't the winner on Sunday.
The SPCU 3 Counties Cup finals day is due to be held at Meigle on Sunday. Gordonians travel with a strong side to defend the cup, having won it 3 out of the last 4 seasons. They would be expected to beat Arbroath in the semi final, but with Arbroath including their overseas amateur Ferdie Snyman from their EPL side, the T20 format does allow for an individual to make a match winning contribution. Dundee High await the winners in the final.
Sunday also sees a T10 tournament at Mannofield. Aberdeenshire, Stoneywood-Dyce and the Grades Select are amongst those taking part, all hoping that rain doesn't affect the planned barbecue accompanying the quickfire cricket.
