It was a day of few real surprises in
Grade 1 on Saturday as Cults, Bon Accord, Ellon, Stonehaven and Kintore all recorded easy wins over teams from the lower half of the table, Bon Accord's win at Rubislaw pushing the home side ever closer to relegation.
In
Grade 2 meanwhile both 2nd Cults and Caledonian won again to increase the gap over St Ronald, who were beaten at King's College by Queens Cross to hoist the visitors closer to mid-table safety, ahead of Anchorians and Gordonians, both of whom again lost.
In
Grade 3 both Crathie and 2nd Kintore won, the latter's win away to Fraserburgh opening a gap over the third-placed side, while in the lower part of the table Turriff gained important points following their win over Portcullis, and a weakened Dunecht side lost to Stoneywood-Dyce. 2nd Grammar recorded the day's possibly major surprise, squeezing home by one wicket against
Grade 4 leaders at Lairds, with 2nd Ellon dropping valuable points in the promotion race following their draw with 2nd Stonehaven.
