GRADES SATURDAY/SUNDAY 24th/25th MAY 2008

Following last week’s defeat by Bon Accord, Ellon face another tough challenge on Saturday as they take on current champions and joint league leaders Cults at the Gordon Park, following their win over the Allan Park’s second string in the Cup last Sunday.  The other team in contention for the Grade 1 title, Kintore, are involved in a local derby against Inverurie, from which on current form they will be expected to take full points.  Mannofield meanwhile could hoist themselves further away from the danger zone if they overcome 2^nd Cults.

At the top of Grade 2 match of the day is clearly that between current leaders St Ronald, and second-placed Grammar FPs, at King’s College – with both teams currently undefeated, while Queens Cross will be hoping their current run of form continues at home to Fraserburgh.

Grade 3 leaders 2^nd Kintore have home advantage against an improving Dunecht team, while Crescent will hope to make it two successive wins against 2^nd Banchory at the Duthie Park.

Huntly Highlanders face the trip to Stonehaven in Grade 4; while 2^nd St Ronald will be hoping to reverse their recent slump in form away to Portcullis.

The Grade Select will take on Stoneywood-Dyce in the first round of this year’s Three Counties Cup on Monday at the Links, with a 6pm start.
