Midsummer Day; and the Grades season reaches its halfway point with three, possibly four, clubs still entertaining hopes of securing the Grade 1 title.
While Bon Accord currently enjoy a 6 per centage point advantage, defeat for them by third-placed Kintore, in Saturday's preview of next weekend's Cup Quarter final, would renew the chances of Cults, who on Saturday have a home game against Banchory. Two recent wins for Inverurie meanwhile have hoisted them for the present out of the relegation zone, at the expense of last season's two promoted sides, Caledonian and 2nd Cults, who meet on Saturday in a crucial game at the Duthie Park. Stonehaven meanwhile will hope to keep in touch with a home game against Ellon.
St Ronald continue to set the pace in Grade 2, and will start favourites against an inconsistent Academy side; while Gordonians and Grammar will try to maintain their challenge against Fraserburgh and Methlick respectively. Kemnay and Artisans meantime occupy the two relegation spots.
In Grade 3 2nd Kintore have meantime returned to top spot ahead of 2nd Banchory and Turriff, while Anchorians and Crecent have lifted themselves ahead of 2nd Grammar and 2nd Ellon at the foot 2nd Stonehaven and Portcullis are the form teams in Grade 4, with both also featuring in the semi-finals of the Johnston Cup.
Sunday sees Bon Accord at home in the next round of the Small Clubs Cup in a game which, with the Links unavailable, will be hosted by Cults at the Allan Park; while the two outstanding Bon Accord Cup Finals go ahead at Harlaw and King's College
