Comfortable wins for Cults and Kintore mean that the top two positions in the Thistle Sports Grades remain unchanged following the latest round of games.
Bon Accord however had to settle for a draw against Banchory, Phil Potter hitting 120 in response to Fazal Awan's earlier 113 for the visitors.
Perhaps the major surprise of the day in Grade 1 came at Kellands Park, where Inverurie notched up their fourth win of the season, to open a valuable gap over 2nd Cults and Caledonian iwho currently occupy the two relegation spots.
In Grade 2 St Ronald bounced back from their defeat by Queens Cross to beat third-placed Gordonians in a high-scoring game at King's College, while Grammar FPs crushed bottom side Kemnay to maintain their hold on second spot.
2nd Banchory lost to 2nd Ellon at the top of Grade 3 with a promising batting debut, at the death, from Ellon's 14-year old Hamish Dalgarno, allowing Turriff to continue their charge up the table with victory over Crescent, while 2nd Kintore remain in contention following their defeat of 2nd Grammar. Elsewhere two Anchorians batsmen notched centuries as they overcame Dunecht, while Stoneywood-Dyce took valuable points off 2nd Methlick.
In Grade 4 2nd Stonehaven squeezed home by 2 runs against Portcullis in the preview of the Johnston Cup Final, while 2nd Mannofield had the better of 2nd St Ronald at Countesswells.
Sunday's Turriff Cup Quarter-Finals saw Cults, Kintore, Huntly and Mannofield go through to the Finals day at the start of September.
