Weather permitting, it will be the home sides who should enjoy the upper hand on Saturday.  Despite their loss to Inverurie last week, Ellon should carry too much firepower for 2nd Cults in a reprise of their Aberdeenshire Cup game earlier in the season, while 1st Cults will be expected to overcome a Caledonian side looking increasingly destined for an early return to Grade 2.

Perhaps the best chance of an upset comes at Castle Park, where Banchory having held Bon Accord to a draw last time out will fancy their chances of a repeat against second placed Kintore.

In Grade 2 Gordonians will be hoping to beat a resurgent Queens Cross side to maintain contact with top two St Ronald and Grammar FPs, while Kemnay with home advantage will be desperate to beat fellow strugglers Artisans, if they are not to become totally detatched from the clubs above them.

In Grade 3 Turriff could strengthen their chances of promotion away to Dunecht, while 2nd Kintore will hope to resume their winning form away to Crescent at the Duthie Park.

Grade 4 leaders 2nd Stonehaven are away to 2nd Gordonians at Countesswells.

Sunday sees Bon Accord in action in the semi-finals of the Small Clubs Cup away to Kinross.
