With just four weeks of matches remaining in Grades 1 to 3, and only two in Grade 4, it will be crunch time at both the top and the bottom of the leagues this weekend.
In Grade 4 2
nd Stonehaven will become the first champions of the season if they beat 2
nd Mannofield at Countesswells, while the club’s First Eleven could have a major say in the destination of the Grade 1 title as they take on leaders Cults Mo&Co at Mineralwell Park. 2
nd-placed Kintore meantime will need to bounce back against Ellon if they are going to stay ahead of third-placed Bon Accord, who take on a Mannofield side still needing points to confirm their Grade 1 status for a further season.
In Grade 2 it still looks like two from St Ronald, Grammar FPs and Gordonians to make the step up, while Academy and Artisans continue to battle it out to avoid the drop along with Kemnay, with Kemnay and Academy meeting on Saturday.
In Grade 3 Turriff are still just in the lead, but with only the slimmest margins splitting them from 2nd Kintore and 2nd Banchory; while Anchorians have recently put in a spurt which has lifted them into fourth spot.
Sunday sees Bon Accord in Small Clubs Cup Final action at Forfar against Victoria; while the latest date for the re-scheduled Three Counties Cup Final between the Grades Select and Forthill at Arbroath is Tuesday August 5th.
