With the last of the outstanding Grades games played over the weekend, Inverurie narrowly missed out on the Grade 1 runner-up spot when they got the better of this year’s Grade 1 Champions spoiling the Bon Accord 100 percent win record. Inverurie led by the bowling of P. Skevington (5 for 15) and youngster Ritchie Lamb (2 for 29) restricted the Bon Accord total to 114, which they comfortably passed led by the batting from S. Murison (39 not out). Meanwhile, over at Gordon Park, the Ellon total (197) led by excellent all-round performances from J. Barrett (59 and 4 for 13) and from youngster Henry W-Gordon (38 and 2 for 9) proved too much for the struggling St Ronald side as they were skittled out for 81. Stonehaven scratched their encounter with the Mannofield side as did Artisan against Methlick.
