Clubs that play games at Duthie Park are reminded that Urinating in a Public Place is a very serious offence please see email below:
David
I am afraid I am contacting you with regards to a complaint received from a member of the public with regards to cricketers urinating in the bushes on Saturday 15 May at about 2.30 at Duthie Park.
They were playing on the wicket nearest the old bowling green.
The member of the public approached them to complain and was not satisfied with their response.
This is not the first time that we have had this type of complaint this season and I am therefore passing on to you in the hope that we can work together to prevent this happening again.
I am sure that I do not have to remind you that it is a public park and that there were a lot of children about on Saturday as it was such good weather. The cricketers are aware of the toilet provision within the park and while this may not be ideal, there is no reason for this action. It is of course a very serious offence should a member of public choose to report this to the police.
I would welcome your support David in reminding teams that this is not acceptable and indeed should this continue and the team(s) be identified, then the Council will no longer be able to provide a let for their matches. in the future.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Many Thanks
Caroline Walker
