Meanwhile across at the Duthie Park 2 pitch in the Turriff Cup semi-finals the Grade 4 champions, Knightriders took on the Grade 1 side Banchory setting a total (151 for 7) which despite an excellent all round performance from the Banchory skipper Sajid Hassan (6-16 and 47) proved too much for the Banchory side to chase down as they ran out of overs, allowing the Knightriders side into the Final, next door at the Duthie Park 1 pitch the Mannofield side progressed through to the final by setting a total (147 for 9) that the Cults side struggled to chase down after loosing early key wickets by some sharp fielding from Mathew Hays and were bowled out for 68. The final was very much a one sided affair as the Mannofield side skittled out the Knightriders side for 37 led by the bowling from Mark Assiter (3 for 4) who was awarded the man-of-the-match honour as they comfortably reached their target with just 1 wicket down.
