Kwik Cricket Festival 2011 - STARTING THIS SUNDAY 22ndConfirmations to date from Stoneywood-Dyce, Cults and Aberdeenshire; probably Banchory too. Huntly? Stonehaven? Ellon? Broch? Kemnay? Remember if you can’t raise a full eight do not bin the kids who could come along and get some game time! It’s the participating that matters at this age group... Age group = <11 at 1st September 2010. PS I’ll be away from tomorrow until Friday afternoon but I’ll sort the format on Friday evening. A G BARRON
Does anyone else recognise these symptoms? The cricket season is upon us and all of a sudden work threatens to get in the way of cricket matters... At the Junior meeting we said we’d try for 3 Local Kwikfests in 2011 with the first being hosted by SDCC in May – cue Alan seeking confirmation from clubs for Sunday 22nd May 2011. Using formats from earlier years we would look to start at 1000 and give the youngsters three games on the day. The usual 8-a-side, bat in pairs, start with 200, add runs, deduct for losing wickets, etc. Please let Alan Baron know your respective clubs availability for that date, thanks. Remember if you cannot raise 8 still let him know how many you have and bring them along and he will cobble sides together. If you email Alan Baron your U13 & U15 match results in the P&J format then hopefully we will be able to post them here. URGENT Methlick will not be able to field an Under-15 side in the ACSCDG leagues but they would like to pick up the “free” slot in the Under-13 calendar as often as possible. Over to you folks to catch up with Jay or Stuart and schedule what you can... · Jay is listed in the Grades Handbook on p6 · Stuart is listed on p65 A G BARRON Administrator Aberdeen City/Shire Cricket Development Group (M) 07768 361 641 4053 reads
